This park's centerpiece is the 3,817-foot Rose Peak, just 32 feet lower than Mount Diablo. Surrounding Rose Peak are 9,156 acres of grassy ridges, flowered in season. Wildlife found at this park includes golden eagles, mountain lions, and tule elk. The wilderness trail through this park is 28 miles of mountain and canyon terrain in southern Alameda County. Your dog is allowed to run off-leash, as long as he or she is under voice control. There are several entrances to this park and the trail, including the Del Valle Regional Park (off Del Valle Rd) and the Sunol Regional Wilderness (off Geary Rd).
