This 4 mile moderate rated trail passes through stands of lodgepole pine and mountain hemlock. From the parking area, hike one mile up Sayles Canyon Trail along the creek to the junction of Bryan Meadows Trail. The trail continues east for about three miles. The elevation ranges from about 7,200 to 8,400 feet. Pets must be leashed and please clean up after them. This trail is located in the Eldorado National Forest. From Highway 50 go about 48 miles east of Placerville. Turn onto the Sierra-At-Tahoe Road and go 2 miles. Turn right onto Bryan Road (17E13). Go another 2.5 miles to the parking area where the trailhead is located.
