San Pasqual Battlefield State Historical Park 15808 San Pasqual Valley Road Escondido, California
92027 760-737-2201 Map
This historic park honors the soldiers who fought here and stands as a reminder of the passions that can drive countries to bloodshed, and not as a monument to the Mexican-American war. There are interpretive exhibits/programs, nature and hiking trails, picnic areas, restrooms, and a visitor center. The park is only open on Saturday and Sunday, but during the week you can park on the street and walk into the park. Dogs of all sizes are allowed. Dogs must be on no more than a 6 foot leash, and leashed and cleaned up after at all times. Dogs are allowed throughout the park and on the trails.
