Petaluma Adobe State Historic Park

Petaluma Adobe State Historic Park 3325 Adobe Road Petaluma, California
707-762-4871 Map
This old adobe ranch building, the largest private hacienda in California between 1834 and 1846, was the center of activity on one of the most prosperous private estates established during the Mexican period. The park offers shaded picnic areas with views of farmland and oak-studded hills. Leashed dogs are allowed at the park, but not inside the buildings. Once a year, usually in May, is Living History Day at this park. Volunteers dress up in authentic clothing. You will find Mexican vaqueros, musicians, blacksmiths, carpenters and more. Try brick-making, basketry, corn-grinding, candlemaking and more. The park is located a twenty minute drive from Sonoma. It is at the east edge of Petaluma, off Highway 116 and Adobe Road.
