This campground offers 8 walk-in tent sites ranging from 50 to 300 feet from the parking lot. The sites are shaded by Douglas fir trees and are set along a small mountain stream. Campground amenities include picnic tables, vault toilets, drinking water and fire rings. Day use parking for the dog-friendly Chemise Mountain Trail is located at this campground. Sites are $8 per day with a maximum of 14 days per stay. Pets are allowed but must be leashed in the campground. If off leash on the trails, they must respond to voice command and not chase wildlife. Dogs may not be left unattended. To get there, take Highway 101 to Redway. Go west on Briceland/Shelter Cove Road for 22 miles and then head south on Chemise Mountain Road for 1.5 miles. Travel time from Highway 101 is about 55 minutes. The camping and tent areas also allow dogs. There is a dog walk area at the campground. There are no electric or water hookups at the campgrounds.
