Our guests love the heated indoor/outdoor pool at the pet-friendly Best Western Arcata, which also offers free breakfast and a hot tub. Guests have their choice of entertainment in all 62 rooms, some non-smoking, of this two-story hotel, where both HBO and pay-per-view movies are available on the cable TV. Also standard are high-speed internet access, work tables and complimentary coffee and tea. A free continental breakfast is available every morning, while lunch can be an outdoor DIY affair using the barbeque grill and picnic table. Not only are pets welcome for a fee, but a large grassy area next to the barbeque allows them to stretch their legs. Guests with work to do can take advantage of copy and fax services and a lobby computer. Additional amenities include 24-hour coffee and laundry facilities. Parking is free. The hotel is off Highway 101, less than three miles from Humboldt State University and the shops and restaurants of Arcata Plaza. Outdoorsy types can hike, mountain bike or ride horseback at Arcata Community Forest, five miles away. Also nearby are Mad River Beach County Park on the ocean, a 12-minute drive, and Redwood National Park, less than 40 minutes away. Eureka Old Town is about 10 miles from the hotel. Arcata/Eureka Airport is five-and-a-half miles north. A generous free breakfast, fun indoor/outdoor pool and nicely groomed lawn make this Best Western a happy find for Our guests, particularly those with families or pets in tow.
Dogs up to 80 pounds are allowed. There is a $20 per day pet fee up to $100 for the week. Up to two dogs are allowed per room.
