Rent some snowshoes and go for a snowy mountain hike with your best friend. Big Bear Bikes rents snowshoes and cross-country skis. After picking up the snow gear ($10-15) and the National Forest Adventure Pass for parking ($5), head over to the forest trail off Mill Creek Rd (by the Alpine Slides). Prices are subject to change. The rental shop will be able to provide directions and/or maps. Once at the trail, you'll be able to go snowshoeing for miles.
