Turtle Bay Exploration Park
Turtle Bay Exploration Park 840 Auditorium Drive Redding, California
96001 800-TURTLEBAY (887-8532) Map
This amazing exploration park is 300 acres of educational and entertaining activities with a focus on relationships between humans and nature through the telling of the region and its peoples. It is home to the translucent Sundial Bridge, a free-standing, technical marvel spanning the Sacramento River that connects the north and south campuses of the park. There is also a historical railroad exhibit, an arboretum that extends over 200 acres, a series of climate display gardens, a medicinal garden, children's garden, a variety of several other gardens, and much more. Dogs are allowed throughout most of the park, in the gardens, the bridge, and on the hiking trails. They are not allowed at Paul Bunyan's Forest Camp or in the museum. Dogs must be leashed and cleaned up after at all times. There are doggy clean-up supplies on site.
