The walk across the Golden Gate Bridge is a unique and stirring experience, and the views of the city and bay are worth the 1.7 mile walk. Visitors may access the bridge sidewalks during daylight hours, and hours vary by the season. The southeast parking area offers visitor services, such as a café, gift center, renovated gardens, and scenic vistas. Dogs are permitted on the bridge as long as they are under their owner's control at all times, and they must be leashed and cleaned up after. Please carry clean-up supplies for your dog.
