Shady Rest Park and Trail

Shady Rest Park and Trail Sawmill Cutoff Rd. Mammoth Lakes, California
760-934-8983
Map
This park serves as a multi-use recreation park. During the winter it's popular with cross country skiers - yes dogs are allowed. In the summer, you can go for a hike on the 5-6 miles of single track and fire road trails. It's also used by 4x4 off road vehicles too, so just be aware. To get there from the Mammoth Visitor's Center, take Hwy 203 towards town. The first street on your right will be Sawmill Cutoff Road. Turn right and Shady Rest Park is at the end of the road. There are restrooms at this park which can come in handy for the humans before starting out on the trails. Dogs must be leashed.
