El Dorado Trail

El Dorado Trail Mosquito Rd. Placerville, California
Get Map or Directions
This part of the El Dorado Trail is a nice paved path that is popular with runners and walkers. Leashed dogs are allowed. The trail was originally 2 miles each way for a total of 4 miles, but the trail has been expanded a few extra miles. Most of the path is wide enough that there is a dirt trail paralleling the paved trail. It is located near historic downtown Placerville. To get there from Hwy 50 heading east, exit Broadway and turn right. When Broadway ends, turn right onto Mosquito Rd and go back under the freeway. At the second street, turn left. If you go too far, you'll end up going back onto Hwy 50. The trail will be on the right. Park along the street.
