Comments:3-4 small outdoor tables and a great 7-day a week breakfast-lunch menu. The wait-persons always bring water dishes out for your dog and treat them kindly. People in line usually play with your dog while you eat (bonus!).
Forge In The Forest
Carmel, CA 93923
Comments:Upper and lower Dog friendly patio. Special dog menu with
Old Post Office Coffee shop
5245 North Lake Blvd.
Carnelian Bay, CA 96140
Comments:They recently added an outdoor patio with about 6 tables. When we went, 3 of the 6 tables had dogs at them. The staff was cool about having the dogs but said they only allow well behaved ones and they need to be tied up to your table because sometimes they get a whiff of the excellent food (we ate there two days in a row and both time it was fantastic food)and jump on the waitresses! Only open for breakfast and lunch.
Costa Mesa/Newport Beach
Side Street Cafe
Costa Mesa/Newport Beach, CA
Comments:Sorry, I wish I had more information to provide you on its location right now. This little cafe has a small indoor seating area, with about six tables outside. Dogs are VERY welcome here. They will go so far as to even bring your dog a doggie water bowl and biscuits. The patrons are generally very dog-friendly too.
Garden Court Cafe and Bakery
13875 Sonoma Hwy. 12, Glen Ellen
Glen Ellen, CA 95442
Comments:Dogs are welcome on an inclosed patio and they even have a special menu just for your special pooch. It's called "Bleu's Corner".
Half Moon Bay
Half Moon Bay Coffee Company
Half Moon Bay, CA
Comments:outside patio area, ok to bring dogs, i was just there,
In University Town Center, next to University of California, Irvine
Irvine, CA 92612
Comments:Upscale resturant with informal touch of elegance. Flower's on the table, candles at night. Birtta's is a wonderful cook. Cute outdoor patio where pets are welcome.
Ocean Avenue Brewery
237 Ocean Avenue
Laguna Beach, CA
Comments:This micro-brewery is situated in the shopping area of Laguna Beach, and has quite good (and a bit pricey) food. While dogs are definitely not allowed inside the main restaurant, there is a raised patio in the front of the restaurant where dogs are permitted. We've spent a couple afternoons sitting on the patio with a microbrew after taking a hike in the nearby hills with Emma. The added benefit is that this is a walking area, and there is a lot of people-watching to do.
please call Inn at Heavently B&B for the address. It's very close to it.
Lake Tahoe, CA
Comments:My dog doesn't like to be left alone in a hotel room.
George's Greek Deli
Long Beach, CA
Comments:delicious greek food for a super-reasonable price - and if you sit on the patio, your doggy is very welcome
Clarkes Charcoal Broiler
Los Altos, CA
Comments:Many outdoor tables.
The Pig, Memphis-Style BBQ
612 N. La Brea Ave.
Los Angeles, CA 90036
Comments:The owners love dogs.......they give them water and a pork shoulder bone if they have them.........rib bones are terrible for dogs..........very canine friendly......lots of people bring their dogs and hang out outside.......some people even order food for their dogs.......brisket a la carte.
The Back Door Bakery
1700 block of Silverlake Boulevard, Los Angeles 90026
Los Angeles, CA
Comments:this is where the locals go with their dogs in LA's legendary bohemian enclave of Silverlake. not only are there outdoor tables and fantastic food (breakfast people: don't miss the GIANT FRUIT PANCAKE. it'll rock your world!), there's also a box of dog-biscuits at snout-level when you go inside to order your food. If you shouldl FORGET to give your dog a bone, the owner will most likely come outside with a couple of treats in hand. We go there at LEAST once a week. Better still, the Silverlake Dog Park is only two blocks away!
Willow Street Wood Fired Pizza
20 S Santa Cruz Avenue
Los Gatos, CA 95030
Comments:Of course the dining is on the patio, but they have plenty of heaters when it is chilly. They have locations in Willow Glen (residential district of San Jose), San Rafael, Saratoga and will soon open a new location in San Francisco. I am not sure if these other locations are dog friendly.
Willow Street Pizza
20 S. Santa Cruz Ave
Los Gatos, CA
Comments:They have a large patio dining section with heat lamps to keep you warm. The staff is very nice to dogs. There was no hassle and they even brought out a bowl of water for our dog!
1010 El Camino Real
Menlo Park, CA 94025
Comments:Large outdoor seating area near a fountain. Favorite
Mission Viejo, CA
Comments:While they have not said that dogs are permitted, there are about 8 outside tables in the front where we've brought our Labrador Retriever, Emma. We've never seen other patrons bring dogs, but we've been bringing Emma there for a while now, and no one has complained. The other patrons often come by and say Hi to Emma. Lots of kids there too.
Bistro Don Giovonni
Comments:Make sure you make reservations and ask permission to bring your dog. They have two cats. There is outdoor eating which is where we ate. I don't think they would have alowed us inside with with our dog. Excellant service and food. They also provided water for our dog.
Redwood City, CA
Comments:All the outside table are dog-friendly and the waitstaff brings every dog a bowl of water
Redwood City, CA
Comments:Great outdoor deck-like seating. Awesome place for brunch. Lots of seagulls and birds to keep fido's attention. Recommend taking one of the tables furthest away from the other tables because they are all very close together.
San Diego, CA
Comments:Nieman Marcus is wonderful!! You can shop with your dog and also they allow you to eat with your pooch on their outdoor balcony....such a nice place...and the food is great--"Amber just loves it!!"
Polly Ann Ice Cream
San Francisco, CA
Comments:Unusual and exotic ice cream flavors for humans, plus a free mini vanilla cone for your canine companion... what more could one ask for?
199 Valencia St.
San Francisco, CA
Comments:Great bike messenger, artist, motorcycle, bar hopper dive bar with probably one of the biggest outdoor seating areas in all of San Francisco. They allow your dog to play with others "Off-Leash" within the large bounderies of the fenced in outdoor seating area. They have approximatly 10-12 large picnic tables and it is rarly over crowded. Bar serves many beers, good mixed drinks and a small kitchen and BBQ area kicks out cheap eats (great Bloody Mary's!). Enjoy, beware to ultra-conservative-preppy-folks - this is probably not your choice establishment.
San Jose, CA
Comments:outdoor seating, greeted the dog with biscuits and water
