Shelter Dog Rescue Project at UC DavisThis is a veterinary-student-run organization that rescues dogs from local shelters, places them in foster homes in the community, vaccinates, spays/neuters, provides obedience training, then places the dogs in permanent homes. They can also always use spare dog supplies (toys, collars, leashes, crates, etc.) that you no longer need. They are entirely student-run and funded, so financial donations are greatly appreciated.
