Duke (Doberman and Husky Mix)
Duke was a victim of the 1997 New Year's Day floods in Yuba City. He was brought to the animal rescue center in Roseville. Upon volunteering, I was asked if I'd be interested in sleeping with one of the dogs that were very traumatized by the ordeal. I wound up with #1561. As soon as I got into the stall, he climbed on top of me, stopped whining and fell asleep. Upon leaving the next morning, he whined and whined. While driving along the outside perimeter of the center, I thought I saw someone walking the same dog I slept with. I got out, went to the fence, and called out "Here Boy!" He nearly ripped the arm out of the woman's socket as the dog ran toward me. It was #1561 and was glad to see me even though it had only been a few minutes since I started to leave. I put my name in for foster care. After a month of foster care, we realized that "Duke" adopted me. Duke is about 6 years old and weighs 82 pounds.

Missey (Shepherd / Pit Bull Mix)
Duke (the lucky dog pictured to the left) found Missey at a Petsmart adoption event. His tail wagged when he first saw Missey. Her foster owner found her wandering the streets and was looking for a good home for her. Missey was brought in over the next weekend. It took several months but Duke and Missey became close buddies. Missey is about 3 years old and weighs 70 pounds.

Lulu (Rhodesian Ridgeback/Boxer Mix)
She loves to ride in the car and gives us lots of kisses when we come home. She is pictured here at 9 months old.

Sophie (Doberman)
This is Sophie-The worlds most spoiled dog!

Angel (Husky Mix with Adorable Blue Eyes!)
Angel is our "baby"! She is a little spoiled but she handles it well. She was adopted at 3 months old.

Howard (Springer Spaniel)
Howard and his parents live in beautiful Northern California. He loves to go for walks, take rides in the car and swim, but most of all he loves to get kisses and cuddles from his Mommy and Daddy.
