Listed on the Natural Register of Historic Places and designated as a National Natural Landmark, this park is home of one of the largest and deepest freshwater springs in the world, and is host to an abundance of wildlife, including alligators, turtles, deer, and birds. They provide daily guided riverboat tours, various interpretive programs, swimming, picnicking, and a nature trail. Dogs of all sizes are allowed at no additional fee. Dogs are not allowed in buildings, boats, the beach, or any waterfront area due to alligators. Dogs must be leashed at all times, and cleaned up after. They are open year round from 8 am to sunset.
