Born from glacial activity, this park is home to a wide variety of plants, birds, and wildlife, and provides a variety of trails, an interpretive exhibit and various recreational pursuits. Dogs of all sizes are allowed at no additional fee. Dogs may not be left unattended; they must be quiet, well behaved, be on no more than a 6 foot leash or crated at all times, and cleaned up after. Dogs are allowed on the trails, except the ski trails in winter. Dogs are not allowed in swim areas or in buildings. Dogs may not be tied to the trees or other park equipment. The camping and tent areas also allow dogs. There is a dog walk area at the campground. There are no water hookups at the campground.
