Although once a bustling town, what this town has to share now is its rich natural and cultural history. Visitor Center hours are daily in the summer from 10 am until 5 pm and in the winter on the weekends from 11 am until 3 pm. Tours are lead at varying times. To find the town follow the North side frontage road from the highway to Bear Gulch Road (5 miles E of Bearmouth or 10 miles W of Drummond) and go about 7 miles up to the Cave Gulch Junction. Take either road up to the town from here (3 miles via Bear Gulch or 4 miles via Cave Gulch). Leashed dogs are allowed in the town and they must be cleaned up after.
