As the state's longest running Shakespearean Festival, the Montford Park Players have been entertaining visitors for more than 35 years. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, a jacket of sorts as the nights get cool, and some bug repellent and get comfortable. People bring everything from fast food to romantic candlelight dinners; you can bring your own libations, and there is also a concession stand for snacks and drinks. The event is free; however they pass the hat at intermission and donations are much appreciated. Leashed, well mannered dogs are allowed; they must be under their owner's control at all times.
