For canines and their human companions that like to come together with other like minds to learn new things and to socialize as well as help in the community then this may be THE place. A mixture of fun, education, and human-canine bonding sets the tone for this organization. Coming just for fun is great, but your pet can become a Dog Scout and start earning merit badges for all the new things they will learn while strengthening bonds with you. There are troops across America and new troops are being formed. Some of the activities include campouts, weekend walks, water activities, monthly meetings, various sporting activities, special events, and fundraisers. Available lodging for camps for you and your pet include tenting, personal RV, rental RV, private rooms, group rooms, and nearby motel. Camps are held in Michigan, Maryland, and Texas. Meals, lodging (except motel) and programs are included in the camping fee. For Camp, 1 dog is preferred, but 2 dogs may come if they can be easily handled and there is an extra fee for a 2nd dog. Dogs are required to have a veterinary-provided Health Certificate issued within 30 days prior to arrival at camp.
