Robbins Crossing is a living history village open to the general public. Each weekend during the summer and fall, students in costume recreate the people and setting of a 19th century Southeast Ohio community. You can view people cooking meals on a wood-burning stove, creating chip carvings, making candles or lace by hand, blacksmithing and gardening. Direct interaction by the public is encouraged. The village is open from noon to 5 on the weekends from Memorial Day through the end of October. Pets are allowed on campus on a leash and need to be cleaned up after. Pets are not allowed inside any buildings or at special events or concerts. Adjacent to the village is the Hockhocking Adena Bikeway which is a 17 mile bike and walking path. It can be a nice place to walk your pooch before or after your visit to the village. For questions about the village, call 740-753-3591, extension 2917.
