This arboretum, located in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, was designed as a research facility for the adaptability of foreign tree species in relation to the northwestern United States. As a result of various testing of terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, they feature a wide variety of plant and animal species. In addition to containing a section of the Pacific Crest Trail, there is also a 1.5 mile interpretive trail. Dogs are allowed throughout the park; please keep to paths.
