At 280 acres, it is the city's largest park and it provides a myriad of recreational facilities and gaming/play areas for all ages, including a physical fitness course, a mile and a half nature trail along the river, and an 18-hole golf course. Dogs are allowed throughout the park and on the trials. Dogs must be well mannered, under their owner's control, leashed, and cleaned up after at all times. The park usually has a stock of plastic bags available at the start of the Fitness Trail.
