This interpretive center offers the chronology of the 150 year oyster industry in this region. The walls of the center are covered with quotes, old photographs, and a 20 foot mural of the bay. There are many artifacts and tools of the oyster trade on display, including a 14 foot double-ended dinghy built in the late 1920's. This is also one of the few places to go down to the shores of the bay that is not on private property. Your dog is allowed at the center and on the grounds. Dogs must be under their owner's control at all times, leashed, and cleaned up after. They are open from Memorial Day weekend through the last weekend in September.
