Chaminade Resort and Spa is a mountaintop Mission-style retreat that indulges our guests with free Wi-Fi a 50-foot outdoor pool and hiking trails through redwood groves. This historic resort covers 300 acres that overlook Monterey Bay and the Santa Cruz Mountains and has 156 rooms in a two-story Mission-style building. Accommodations are decorated in a color palette inspired by the California coast with contemporary Spanish furnishings. Amenities include feather bedding complimentary Wi-Fi and flat-panel TVs. Hike the resort's three miles of trails that wind through pristine eucalyptus and redwood groves and grassy fields. When you return enjoy a swim in the 50-foot seasonal outdoor pool a soak in one of two hot tubs or a massage (for a fee) at the spa. The resort also has a poolside bar a fireside patio and four lighted tennis courts plus volleyball badminton and croquet courts. Dine in the bar and grill or the restaurant with sweeping bay views. Pets up to 40 pounds are welcome for a nonrefundable fee. The hotel charges a resort fee that includes valet and self-parking and access to the pool fitness center hiking trails and Wi-Fi. The property is located in a quiet scenic area three miles northeast of downtown Santa Cruz and four miles northeast of the Boardwalk. Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park and the University of California - Santa Cruz are both about six miles away. If you're driving from San Jose International Airport the hotel is 33 miles south.
