This campground is located in Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park. While dogs are not allowed on any park trails or the beach, they are allowed at this campground. There are 75 RV or tent sites which are next to a prairie and old growth redwood forest. RVs must be less than 27 feet. Camp amenities include restrooms, showers, fire pits, dump station and bear-proof lockers. Located just north of the campground is Cal Barrel Road. Dogs can walk on or along this 3 mile gravel road. There are not too many cars that travel along this road. Pets must be on no more than a 6 foot leash and attended to at all times. Please clean up after your pet. The camping and tent areas also allow dogs. There is a dog walk area at the campground. There are no electric or water hookups at the campgrounds.
