First created in 1984, Blue Dog is based on the mythical "loup garou," a French-Cajun ghost dog, and Tiffany, Rodrique's own pooch who had passed away a few years prior to the notoriety. Blue Dog represents a dog who is between heaven and earth. Ask about the story behind Blue Dog when you visit this gallery. The painter, Rodrique, is an internationally acclaimed painter. Blue Dog will probably look familiar to you because Absolut Vodka and other companies have used it for their marketing campaigns. This gallery usually has some cookies and treats for visiting pooches. Thanks to one of our readers who writes: "A most wonderful place, I called asking for information after Rodrigue did a picture for Neiman Marcus . . . the lady with whom I spoke sent us information plus dog biscuits for our corgi.."
